Camp Lejeune's marinas are the center for all boating, canoeing and sailing from the Air Station and Camp Lejeune and are open year round. The newly renovated Gottschalk Marina (located off Julian Smith Road) and Courthouse Bay Marina at Camp Lejeune offer outboard motorboats, sailboats, wind surfers, rowboats, paddleboats, canoes, and private craft docking. Facilities for unit parties and unit PT sessions are available. Call Gottschalk, (910) 451-8307, or Courthouse Bay, (910) 450-7386, for more information and hours of operation.

The New River water recreation area and marina has a beautiful beach and swimming area, staffed with qualified life guards. A new bath house with lockers and showers is available, as well as camping areas and a family picnic area which is ideal for family outings. The marina staff can outfit patrons with jet skis, outboard motor boats, canoes, paddleboats and windsurfers. The Party Room at the Air Station Marina has banquet-type tables and chairs to seat more than 100 persons. Reservations may be made by calling (910) 450-6704.


Horse Boarding
The Scarlet & Gold Riding Club is a private horse boarding facility aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. They are open to all active, retired and reserve military, family members, DoD and MCCS employees. Currently the monthly boarding fee is $125 per horse for self board. This includes: stall, feed storage pallet, hay storage pallet, tack room, two turnout pastures and the use of all arenas and trails. The SGRC is a family oriented facility. Some of the many activities Club members get to enjoy include miles of trails, night riding in a large lighted arena, and a swim at the beach.  Check out the fun some members had one afternoon at Onslow Beach.  



Lodging & Campground Reservation Policy

Active duty military assigned to MCB Camp Lejeune, MCAS New River, or MCAS Cherry Point may reserve lodging facilities and campsites at Onslow Beach 20 weeks in advance. Retired military, active duty military, or reservists from any duty station of any Armed Forces, and authorized civilian employees 8 weeks prior to occupancy date. SNCO Club and Officers' Club members get an extra 2 week benefit with club membership. A maximum of 2 units may be reserved per sponsor.

Lodging facilities are staffed year-round, and the area has a fishing pier, miniature golf course, set of conference rooms, and gazebo rental. For information or reservations of beach facilities call (910) 450-7502.
